Reviewed 17 September 2026. Rep. Aline Vargas-Alfonso, former Abulug Mayor Manny Vargas (died 13 March 2025) and former Abulug Mayor Precy Vargas are siblings, children of the late Rep. Florencio Vargas. Manny’s unopposed ballot name still won the 2025 Abulug mayoralty after his death; Marie Angelie Vargas now sits as mayor and Jeff Vargas as vice mayor, and no source states how she is related. The mother-and-daughter link to former Rep. Samantha Vargas-Alfonso rested only on a fan-compiled profile and was removed pending a sourced statement.
