Richard’s sisters hold Guimbal’s mayoralty and vice mayoralty and the Energy portfolio, and the next generation sits on the provincial board. Janette is a Loreto of Leyte; her brother Carlo sits on the Leyte provincial board. Readers also describe Janette as a cousin of Leyte Governor Jericho Petilla; that is plausible from both families’ parentage but no source states it, so no link to the Petilla family is drawn.
