How this was researched

Deep audit 17 September 2026. Johnny Remulla Sr. governed Cavite in 1979–1986 and 1988–1995. His sons Boying, Jonvic and Gilbert all served in Congress or the capitol; Boying’s children Abeng, Ping and Jacinta now hold the governorship, the 7th district seat and the Naic vice mayoralty. Sources also call Johnny Sr. the grandfather of Ping and Abeng and Jonvic the uncle of Ping and Jacinta; those links follow from the parent and sibling ties shown. Imus Councilor Darwin Remulla described himself as Jonvic’s cousin in campaign pamphlets; no source gives the exact degree. Former Board Member Rolando “Andoy” Remulla was called a relative in 2016, but Boying described him as a “very distant relative and mere namesake,” so he is not linked. No marriage or blood tie to another Cavite political family was found.
